[Opinions] Re: Ireland (Female)
Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger have a daughter named Ireland. So to me it is the ultimate celeb baby name and as they are the only ones who chose it it feels like it belongs to them in a strange way. It's almost like using another well known celeb name such as Blue Ivy together. It just seems unimaginative.I also guess that people from Ireland would find this name rather ridiculous. If someone wanted to honor Ireland I feel like the last name they should use is Ireland. Erin is already much better. Or any other nice Irish name an anglicization of it.I don't hate Ireland, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't recommend it. It comes across as celeb-baby-crazy and a bit silly as it doesn't reflect Irish culture.

I honestly agree. I don’t hate Ireland, but I don’t love it either. I don’t really care about how they pronounce it. Some people even pronounce it AR-land or something.

Agreed it seems too oddAlso I'm finding their pronunciation a bit odd like why pronounce it incorrectly if they liked Ireland so much?
