Billy was indeed for Billy the kid
Bonnie was actually for the dog I knew and I needed a girl outlaw to fit the others (I wanted a girl, because the others were boys already): Bonnie and Clyde...
But now you say it I do remember Bonney being Billy the kid (maybe I did it unconciously...)
