I think I prefer Aphrodite. I'd use it on a pet. But it's just too much on a person.

I like Aphrodite better. It just looks better though. I'm not sure I'd name a kid after the goddess, she seemed vain. It has a good ring to it, however.
It also makes me think of that Katy Perry song Dark Horse.

I like Aphrodite, but only as a middle name. It seems a bit much as a first name. I'm not a fan of the spelling Afrodite.

At least Aphrodite doesn't look as if she's wearing an anachronistic fright wig.

It has a good sound, and I prefer this spelling to Aphrodite. But I would never use this name for a child because Afrodite was a controversial goddess: she was the goddess of beauty and love, but she was the goddess of fool passion too. She betrayed her men and planned revenges and punishments to mortal women who were too beautiful or didn't celebrate her. Also, she planned Dido's ruin.
