[Opinions] Deianeira
Pronounced Dea-nare-a. I think its a very unique name but it seems like people will mispronounce it a lot

I’ve always thought it was incredibly beautiful, sound AND spelling.Deianeira... it just rolls off the tongue.

I adore this name, even the meaning and the terrible story (it pleases my inner goth) but its the spelling that would keep me from ever using it, at least as a first name. I mess up the e-i order, every time. Also apparently I mispronounce it too, because I say "dee ah NYE ra". I'm hopeless.

It has such a bad meaning and story, I can't bring myself to like it.
I'd like it otherwise. It's pretty.

Agreed. If you have to tell people how to pronounce it, it's too hard to pronounce. I also don't think it's that nice sounding, sorry!

too many vowels. put some back

I love the idea of Deianeira so much more than the reality. The sound is beautiful, but there are just way too many vowels. However, the French form, Déjanire, is quite intriguing.

Love the meaning. It's fairly easy to pronounce imo. Maybe spelled phonetically like Dayanaira or Dayanarah?
