[Opinions] Re: Sybil and Sibyl
This was one of my favourite names for ages! I really liked it. It's funny though, after Downton Abbey's Sibyl, I liked it less, even though she was a great character. That show made me appreciate Edith and dampened my crush on Sibyl. Maybe Sibyl is one of those names that I like the look of, but the sound isn't as nice. I prefer Sybil, that "Syb" seems witchy and I like the idea of occasionally calling a Sybil "Billie" or "Bill". I do naturally write Sybil, Sibyl takes effort.

I haven't watched the show. But I was kind of wondering the same thing. It looks really nice and means "prophetess" so it has something really mystical about it. But it doesn't sound as nice as it looks. I still like it. Billie is cute as a nn. I used to like Edith but not so much anymore.
