[Opinions] I don't understand the hype for this

I don't mind the name and even a little bit enjoy it when it needs a nickname for something longer like Eleanor, Lenore, Leonora, Annora, Menora etc. but when it is by itself it feels very plain and lifeless. I like the Norah spelling a little more but as it is I have no idea how it got back into style in some areas because it feels very much like an elderly spinster name in my mind. SO many more retro, short names that are better imo like:
Sylvia
Marie
Edith
Helena
Maggie
Bernice
Thelma-Lou
Ruby
Betty
Irene
Dora- yes I like Dora better as a stand along more than Nora
Cora- this is the best of the 2 syllable-ora ending names imo
Rita
Molly
Hazel
Gloria
Joanie
Ruth
Vera
Vada
Cathleen
Jane
Amy
Rosa
Noreen? There's also Noreena/Norina, Nordica..

I feel like singer Norah Jones may be partly responsible for the revival of the name. I may be wrong, but it seems to have gradually become more popular after she became more well known. Could be a coincidence, though.
That is what I suspect as well
