I love Saoirse but, outside of Ireland, I think it would just be too difficult for people to pronounce / spell. Sometimes I wonder whether I could get away with it as a MN in a combo =)

It's okay. It's extremely popular in Ireland.I think it's one of those names that look better than they sound. The meaning is nice.It's like Aurora in the way that it looks pretty but actually just sounds like SEER-sha, which has a bit of a trendy and boring sound.I prefer the Irish Saorla pronounced either SEER-la or SAYR-la, it means "free princess".
