Ida Lillian was the name of my maternal gm. I can't say that I love the sound of it. Also, she was a horrible person so that has influenced my opinion on the name greatly. Still, pronounced with the long e sound and it's much nicer, imo.

I love Ida! It's weighty but also perky. I also like Idella.

I like it. I pronounce it like EYE-da. I actually named my first sewing machine Ida because of its meaning. I think it's a charming, old-fashioned name like many of the short three letter ones are. I also like Ivah a lot, though I prefer it with the h at the end.

I love it. It's so 1890's and it's got that clunky grace that so many popular names from that era have. It seems like a very smart, competent name. I'd love to meet a little Ida.

In Italy at least it’s very old womanish. I prefer Ada or Aida.

Nauseatingly popular here. It was the most used girls name herea couple of years ago.

I find it kind of dull.
