I'm inspired! I'm going to name a cat Americat someday.
I think it's very fiction-y to spell Mary Kat "Merricat." Is she a Merrisioux?
It's still Mary Kat. Like Mary Kate.
Marikat could be neat. I could kinda like it.
But the Merricat spelling is so synthetic it's annoying to me. Merry Cat ... kind of clownish.

The movie I saw was “We Have Always Lived in the Castle”. I didn’t know until now that it was based on a book.
