Willoughby is my favourite spelling and he is one of Austen’s villains. A lot of girls like a bad boy though till he breaks their heart.Willoughby is the characters last name.

Why mess with Willoughby? It's pretentious, I'd never dream of using it, but at least it's authentic.

Looks like a typo. I prefer Willoughby by far.

I prefer the original spelling - Willoby looks misspelled to me. Overall I'm not a fan of the name. It's very posh, like something on a caricature of an aristocrat. I wouldn't be surprised if the person who used it was a fan of Austen or Bronte, as it has the vibe of a name they'd use for one of their Lord-type heroes/love interests.

Willoby is just silly-looking, with the word “lob” stuck in there.Willoughby is much better as a place name, anyway.

Yeah that was my thought, that "lob" in there really sticks out

I've only ever seen Willoughby, so I guess I'd prefer that, but I think it's quite pompous for a first name.
I know some people who raised a young steer and called him Willoughby (not sure how they spelled it) Burger.
