Though it is certainly possible this was independently invented by blending names like Myra and Arlene, there is no reason why it just couldn't be the French name Mylene being used in the Philippines. There are scores of examples of names adopted from one language into another where the pronunciation changed in the new language. Certainly English speakers in the USA don't pronounce Charles, Diane, Guy, or Jeanne the way they are pronounced in French, or Gretchen the way it's pronounced in German, just to give a few examples. Lots of people will see a name from another culture written and pronounce it according to the conventions of their own language, without realizing how it's pronounced in the original culture.
