I was recently in the island of Malta and came across the name
Bjorn (this spelling) several times. One
Bjorn seems to be a celebrity of sorts, involved with fundraising for ALS. But I also met a
Bjorn and saw the name on a third man. This leads me to think that
Bjorn was once quite popular in Malta. Considering that the origin is Scandinavian (
Björn or
Bjørn) I would love to know if anyone knows why it became popular in Malta.
Thank you!
