Rose gold as a trend peaked around the same time as millennial pink. Meaning it’s still well-liked but already fading. And even though I myself like it, I’m not even going to decorate my home in something that explodes in popularity out of nowhere, much less do something as permanent as name a human that. It’s going to become dated. That’s just how trends work. Plus it’s one of those trends people joke about being associated with “basic b*tch millennial women”, like black yoga pants or “live, laugh, love” slogans. Nothing wrong with them per se, but we’re definitely going to be explaining to our kids that “that was what everyone wore!” when going through photos.

That being said, Rosegold is objectively pretty, and has a lot of familiar name elements in there. So it’s not like naming her “Pumpkin Spice”. It has good nicknames. It could be worse.

I like many Rose names, but not this one. I think it's gauche in the same way as Crystal, Lexus, Bentley, etc. I read a heinously awful novel that was loosely based on the Gypsy Rose Blanchard case, and the analogous girl was named Rose Gold.

Rosegold is ambiguous.
As a "combo" of Rose + Gold I dislike it. As a word I really like the rosegold colour. Here in Italy has become trendy a couple of years ago. So the name sounds cool.

What I find the most interesting about this name, is that it's chiefly masculine. It should definitely be unisex. But then again, could we say the same for Marigold? Mari might seem girly, but nothing is feminine about the Gold part. But then the Rose part of Rosegold is quite girly. And Marigold is a flower name...hmmm.
I really like the name. It sounds aristocratic and good for both genders. And I wish that there were more nature names for guys. They're not allowed to have flower names. This seems to be an exception to the rule.

I'm not fond of flower names or metal/gemstone names, so Rosegold was doomed from the start. Plus, rosegold the colour isn't very popular any more, so a child given this name now would be prematurely dated.

It's interesting. It has lots of nicknames. Rosegold the metallic finish is popular right now. It's something I could see a celebrity choosing. I guess I like it, but wouldn't use it.
