[Opinions] Re: Myrna and her family
I used to assume that Myrna was a Jewish name: I had a friend at school who was a Jewish Myrna (she used Miriam as her Hebrew name) and I'd never seen it anywhere else. I was astonished to find it was Irish! I don't think it was ever popular enough to have made people tired of it. If Myrna Loy, of whom I know nothing, could make it popular in the 1930s-1940s, then someone else could probably do the same. I don't enjoy the er- sound (Bertha, Myrtle) but others might.
