[Facts] Question about Tuesday
My friends and I were talking about where the days of the week come from. We worked out Monday(Moonday), Wednesday(Wodins' day), Thursday(Thors' day), Friday (Frias' day), Saturday (Saturnday) and Sunday (duh), but we don't know what Tuesday is. Can you help me?

Tyr's DayIn Sweden, Tuesday is called "tisdag" and this means "Tyr's day". Tyr is also the origin of the female name Tyra."But it’s all right now.

One theory(courtesy of Edith Hamiliton's "Mythology") is that Tuesday is the corrupted form of Tyr's Day. Tyr was the Norse god of war.
You might also want to know that Friday is generally thought of as Freya's Day, from the goddess Freya, Norse deity of love and beauty. Less well accepted is the interpretation of Friday as Frigga's Day. According to Norse myths, she is Odin's (Wodin's) wife.
