Don't like it at all
It reminds of the time I went backpacking through Europe and I stayed at two places in Greece named Agia Pelagia. It reminds me of good times and sunshine, but I can't see it on a child at all. The nicknames are good though!
I think it's gorgeous, dramatic, and saintly. And thalassic!
My first thought is Captain Corelli’s Mandolin the 1994 book by Louis De Bernieres (there should be a grave above the first E but can’t add it on my phone) and the 2001 film of the same name. Pelegia is the name of the lead female character.
