King John Edmund of the House of Wessex has ruled for the past thirteen years, shortly after his marriage to Queen Amabel, formerly Duchess Amabel of Waverly. Like his father before him, he has been known as a strict, but fair ruler, allowing the people a good deal of latitude in their daily activities as long as there are no great disturbances.
Princess Mary is the eldest child of King John Edmund and Queen Amabel. She is a lovely young lady who enjoys drawing and spending time in the royal gardens. Crown Prince John Laurence is busy learning Latin, Greek, History, and all the things necessary for a future ruler. Prince Edmund Patrick is just starting his schooling and much prefers to be outside chasing chickens and running around with the other children in the palace. Princess Cateline is the youngest child of the King and Queen.
