I just finished watching Ferris Bueller’s Day Off as 2 days ago it released 36 years ago.

So, what do you think of the name Ferris? Do you like it? Is the association too strong for you? What would you pair it with? Oh, and what do you think of it on a girl?

I don’t really care for this name, tbh. I do like that it’s unique, though.

I don’t think it’s too masculine for a girl but overall I just find it ugly for both genders. Reminds me of Ferris wheels.

Definitely not on a girl. All I think of is Ferris Bueller and Ferris wheels, so the association is too strong for me.

Sorry, but between that movie and the wheel, I can't imagine anyone actually naming their child this.

I don't know the movie at all. I do know of a girl Ferris, OK she'll be in her early 40s by now; she's listed by her old primary school as having the ln Wheeler. I suppose someone thought it was clever; I find it unfortunate, but then I don't like Ferris for either gender or with any ln or none.
