I know it sells better but it still irks me that baby name books do this. Clearly
Adam doesn't mean "son of" anything, since "son" in Hebrew is "ben". I can understand the desire to make baby name meanings more poetic and cram some additional layers into a nice concise "meaning" but people then tend to take these way too literally.
And I'd love to see a source for Adnet being related to
Adam. Apart from people now finding it on websites that claim it is related and hence using it as such.
The name itself, though, definitely sounds like an advertising company, and in fact there are several called that.
