[Opinions] Any good suggestions?
Hello everyone I'm writing a book and I cannot think of a good name for a female character. She is the illegitimate daughter of a captain and a black slave. She was born in 1745. She has two half brothers also illegetimate Richard and Elijah. I was thinking Antonia because her father's name is Anthony. What do you think?

I don’t think it really makes sense for the daughter to be named after her father.
Suggestions:
Abigail, Katherine, Naomi, Hannah, Elizabeth, Florence, Prudence, Olivia, Matilda, Molly, Sabrina, Clementine, Helen, Keziah
Anything English/Biblical that’s not modern, assuming that she speaks English

questions ...
What is the mother's background? Does she speak English, French, Spanish, Portuguese? How far removed from Africa (what part? what language?) is she?
Are the brothers fathered by the same man?
If so, why is neither of them named for the father?
What exactly is the relationship between the captain and the slave woman? Do they actually have a relationship or is he just using her purely for sex? If the latter, why would the mother name any of the kids after him? Or does he treat them more or less as if they are an ordinary family?
What is his background? Anthony is an English name, but is he in fact English or American?

Antonia is fine, but why would she be named after her father?
