[Opinions] Almond
Does Almond work as a first name for a girl? I rather enjoy the sound of it.

Almond is not my favorite

I named a Playmobil person Almond when I was a kid (her twin sister was Hazel). I don’t think it actually makes a good name though.

Try Alma! (I’m biased lol). Or Hazel.

Haha it's your name. I got to admit that it's cool and sounds classic.

Thank you!

Not at all. If you like the sound, try Alma.

It is an ingredient, not a name. Just as soon call a child anvil or chair, has about the same appeal. Do like the suggestion of Alma, though.

no ...It's just too nutty. Like she should have a sister named Hazel and a brother named Filbert.
It reminds me of a joke I heard, which was told to me in an Irish accent but the accent isn't essential. A father is bragging about his new baby daughter and says her name is Hazel. His friend says "Hundreds of saints to name the little lass after and you name her for a nut."

No. Just no.

Absolutely not, it sounds like a dog. I agree with writing wrote, Hazel would be much better.

Alma would be good too but it’s kind of dated

Not a fan. Would make a child peanut either. I guess unless it’s a nickname.

I think it could work, but since it's too associated with the nut, I would suggest you some similar names, like Rosamund / Rosamond, and Clairmonde / Esclairmonde.I also think that Hazel could work better.
