I prefer the spelling Eileen. If you like the look Ilene, then Irene might be a good alternative.

I don't mind Eileen; it's a family name but I'd never use it. I far prefer Helen. Ilene looks illiterate and I really don't see the point. It's not as if Eileen was unfamiliar as a name or hard to pronounce.
