Help[Surname] Turkish surname Pamuk
Could anyone explain me the meaning of this turkish surname that has become very popular in the literary world. I have found in my turkish dictionary that Pamuk means "cotton".

I can only tell you that cotton in Hungarian is pamuk,too. This is certainly because of the Turkish invasion and occupation of Hungary for 500 years.
