[Opinions] WDYTO Raine?
hey everyone, I am still waiting until my daughter is born in a few weeks to decide on her name but i am also throwing some names around. What do you think of Raine?
Which spelling Rain or Raine?
i think i like the second more, it will probably be a middle name, but opinions please on it as a first and middle name. (I love nature names, if this baby had been a boy i would have definately called him River).Do you know anyone named Rain/Raine? what do they think of this name?
Thanks T.
:)

It's not my favorite name, but it could make a nice mn. I much prefer Rain over Raine. You will be expecting her to do well in spelling at school (I assume). A good place to start is her own name.
P.S. It just occurred to me that Raine is more like a nn for Lorraine. But since you stated you like names from nature, that's probably not what you're after. (Unless you consider that Lorraine is a place name, sort of a nature name.)

I like the name...love it as a mn...but I personally prefer it spelled Rain. Spelled Raine, it has the appearance of having unnecessary letters tacked on the end in my opinion.Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I think either spelling is acceptable; I like them both equally. I think it's very pretty for either a fn or mn. I don't know anyone named Rain/e, though.~Lillian~

Raine is better IMO. Somehow it just makes it look more like a name.I'd never use it as a first name, but it's very nice as a middle name.

Raine Maida is the lead singer of a (once great) Canadian band called Our Lady Peace. Because I was a fan of theirs for such a long time, I cannot imagine this name on a girl. Rain is better for a girl.

I think I prefer the spelling Rain. Personally, I would only use it as a mn. I don't know anyone named Rain or Raine, but I do know a boy named Rayne. I'm not really sure on his feelings towards his name, but I always thought that it suited him.

I don't know anyone with this name but I do like it. Raine or Rain is fine to me but I do like it more as a middle.

River will be my future sons name. Rain would be one of my future daugthers. I prefer the spelling Rain, I ADORE both names!-----------------------------------------------

Raine seems a lot more elegant to me.

Well, neither are really my style. Raine looks more like a name, but also looks misspelled. I much prefer Reine, which I find quite lovely. I choose Raine I suppose, but only as a mn
