Super boring and overused, I especially dislike other spellings of it trying to make it unique, like Rachael. That being said it’s not the worst and has kind of a pretty sound.

I really love the name Rachel, personally. I’ve always had a thing for this name. Unfortunately, there’s no way I could ever use it for a child. There’s a Rachel and a Rachael in my extended family, so…can’t. So, Rachel just lives on my PNL. Also, on a character of mine. All of the people named Rachel have either been very nice or very rude. But, a name doesn’t make the person.

When I was very small, perhaps even preschool, I used to tell myself stories in bed at night, and I remember that the leading characters for a long time were girls named Ashley and Rachel, and known as Ashers and Rache. Now, I only like Ashley for a boy and I'd only consider Rachel as a mn because the nns - not Rache in the real world probably! - put me right off. All the Rachel people I've known have been called Ray, which I don't enjoy at all.

I was kind of on a Rachel kick for a while a few years ago. You hardly see it on kids anymore so it would be a little more unique in the current day. I still generally like it of the "generic female bunch" but wouldn't consider it anymore after I briefly dated a guy whose ex-girlfriend Rachel got jealous and spray painted my car lmao a little turned off to it now haha XD

I love it. I like it particularly as a Hebrew name but also as a common name in English.

I like it, but it’s the name that everybody’s mum has. Vintage, but not back in fashion.
