[Opinions] Fiora and other -ra names
I really want to love Fiona but the image of the Shrek character often gets in the way. She wasn't a bad character but it's a particular image and association in my mind. Fiora feels like a nice little side step of that association as of late since it's only 1 letter different. Plus I tend to love the -ra suffixed names in general, they are a fun vibe. 3 fold questions:1. what's your impression of it?
2. What sort of person do you imagine with it?
3. What other unusual -ra names do you like lately? I've also been thinking of Phaedra, Sapphira, Lyra, Lenora, Hera, Elvira, Adara, Adastra Etc. for this category lately*Sapphira is probably my favorite of this category latelyPlease rate my "Names I would Use" list & "Backup Favorites" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you have the time.

My impression is about like Flute's ... but it's pretty versatile seeming, considering I've never met nor even heard of one.
I like the sound of it pretty well. It seems good.
Sounds Italian to me. Also like a smush of Fiona and Flora. I like it more than Flora, a little less than Fiona.I like so many -ra names...
Audra, Medora, Eudora, Demetra might be "unusual"-ish
I don't care for Sapphira, I think it sounds too costumey, but I like the shorted from Fira.
I like Phaedra but only if it is pronounced FED-ra. Don't like FAY-dra.

I don’t like it. I have the same issue with Fiona but I still much prefer it over Fiora. I like Sapphira, Lyra, and Lenora, two of which are on my PNL.I also like Alessandra, Alexandra, Amara, Amira, Clara, Cora, Flora, Keira, Kiara, Mara, Mira, Moira, Petra, Samira, and Tara.

🔲 I think Fiora sounds like what J. R. R. Tolkien would like to use on his character. It's sounds familiar, but at the same time, it sounds outlandish. It's not bad, but it's just not my style. I prefer Flora.🔲 I would like to imagine Fiora as an extraterrestrial being with 80% human breed which is a girl. She wears some nice, dark green-themed clothes, and she likes peridot (lol)🔲 -ra names? Tamara, Clara, Elvira (too), Sapphira (too), María Auxiliadora, Theodora, Cleopatra, Barbara, Zahara, Amora/Amoura

Zahara is another one I like too

I like Fiona and the Shrek association doesn’t bother me, but Fiora is kinda cool. When I picture a Fiora I picture a kind of funky, hippie-esque person. Not like 70s hippie, but more like modern boho aesthetic. Off your list I really like Lyra, and Phaedra and Sapphira are kinda cool too.Looking through the site, some other -ra names I like/think are cool:Almira
Astra
Azahara
Bira
Clara
Clytemnestra
Cora
Cyra
Delora
Eira
Eleanora
Flora
Indira
Jacira
Kasimira
Medora
Mira
Palmira
Petra
Ruxandra
Sitara
Stelara
Theodora
Thora
Tzipora
Vera
Vespera
Xiomara
Zora

1. It's ok, I'm neutral.
2. Well, maybe I'm biased somehow, but I imagine a "fragile" blond woman in her 30s.
3. It turned out that I'm a fan of -ra names!

Fiona is fine by me: I'd love to be a huge green troll princess! And I like the name. Don't enjoy Fiora though. -ra names? Laura and Deborah, maybe Clara. None of them are unusual, but that's me for you.
