[Opinions] Fauve
So I was reading “Mistral’s Daughter “ by Judith Krantz (I know, I know) and one of the protagonists is a woman named Fauve. I thought this was quite ridiculous, since it literally means “wild beast” in French, even though it’s also the name of the painting movement, but apparently there’s a Belgian celebrity by this name and it’s got an -albeit limited- history of use in Francophone areas.Thoughts on Fauve? It’s pronounced “Fawv.”“And I wish there was a treaty we could sign
I do not care who takes this bloody hill
I'm angry and I'm tired all the time
I wish there was a treaty,
I wish there was a treaty
Between your love and mine”
Leonard Cohen
