The Song-Artois family has been successful and prosperous. Jun's classes are sky-rocketing in popularity, and he sometimes goes out-of-state to speak to teachers, parents, and students. Athalie's accounting firm is doing well, and the family has been able to live in comfort.
Six years ago, however, something rocked their life. Jun's sister came to America from Korea, widowed and in deep poverty, with her four children, then aged 12, 6, and 2. She had applied for citizenship the year before, and had come to ask Jun if she could stay with him after she was a citizen. Of course Jun said yes, and after six months, she and her kids came to live the the Song-Artois family.
Rose and Cyrille, only 11 and 3 at the time, were befuddled and miffed about sharing their rooms. Fortunately, the cousins have learned to get along since then and are like siblings.
Aside from a pretty big scandal at Rose's high school last year, the past five years have been pretty calm for the Song-Artois family. Jun's sister and her kids have settled in well, and her oldest son is going to college next year.
