[Opinions] Mimosa
I've bought Mimosa (flowers) and it made me think of a book I once read where a character was named Mimosa. She was rather a snob in the book, so it didn't do much good and the Mimosa tree is invasive so it has that against it. Anyway, I'm curious what you think of Mimosa as an first name?
Mimosa Persephone?
Which nicknames can you think of for Mimosa?

It makes me think more of the cocktail than of the flower
I've always thought Mimosa would be quite a sweet name if it weren't the name of an alcoholic beverage. It has a nice sound. And I think Mimi and Mitsy would be cute nicknames.

Mimosas make me think of the alcoholic beverage and rich ladies brunching by a pool. I also would expect it to get shortened to Mimsy or Missy which is awful.
I think of the drink, but it does have that sassy and cool sound to it. To me it’s like Margarita or Hennessy, I wouldn’t judge another for using it but I wouldn’t use it on my own free will.
Mimosa Persephone is kinda nice but the s’s throw me off.

Since I'm fluent in German, I don't like the name. The german word for the Flower, "Mimose" is also used as a synonym for whiner, sissy ... So it always makes me think of a weakling.
Persephone I like.
Nicknames could be: Mimi, Mimo or Mosa.

See I'm always intrigued to hear tidbits like this from other languages and the implications involved
I don't think of flowers or trees. I think of the alcoholic drink.
Yup, same here. Mimosa cocktails were the first thing that sprung to mind.
We don't call them mimosas here (it is Bucks Fizz) but I know the name from TV/film and it is all I hear.
Mimosa is a really pretty name, I love it.
Mimosa Persephone sounds good.
Mimi, Misa or Mosa as nickname is all I can think of.

Mimosa looks namey, but I don't like the image it evokes: an oversensitive, capricious "shrinking violet". I imagine a cartoon character, rather than a real person.
Mimosa Persephone - names look like two antonyms to me, imo.
As for nickname... Mimmu, perhaps? I saw it on BtN, it's a Finnish NN.

Aw, I really like Mimosa! It's aristocratically botanical but whimsical. I like Mim as a nickname.
Mimosa Persephone is a bit much, but I like it.
