[Opinions] Sunday
What do you think of Sunday for a girl?
Would you assume the parents were religious?
Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I actually quite like Sunday and I would use it as a middle name happily if I so desired. I was born on a (Easter) Sunday, I would’ve have minded if this were my name but I’m okay with what I got already. Sunny is a cute nickname, and the things associated with Sunday are for the most part good.
A vlogging family a while back named their daughter Sunday, and it wasn’t that well received but I personally didn’t think it was that bad. I’d rather be a Sunday than a Posie.
No, I would not assume piety.

I wouldn't have even thought of religion more or like either cutsie millenial parents or like earthy crunchy family, or celebrity
I like it as a name tho, I'd use it if my partner liked it a lot.

It would be interesting to meet a Sunday. I'm not sure if I'd assume her parents are religious. It feels like a kind of fluffy religious name, if it is one. When I see this name the strongest association I have is Nicole Kidman, honestly, didn't she name one of her kids Sunday?
I’d assume the parents were hippies. It gives Sunshine vibes. It’s not terrible but a little annoying.
I know a woman named Sunday; she's got an identical twin named Cindy.
I wouldn't assume the parents were religious, the name feels like one of those shallow, religious-sounding names celebrities might use without actually "walking the walk" or even "talking the talk."
It also feels very random, like for nine months the parents couldn't come up with anything, then the baby is born on Sunday and since she can't go through life being called Hey You, they just decided all right, she's born on a Sunday, wouldn't that be a good name for her?
Sunday Bloody Sunday.
Hot Fudge Sundae.
No, I don't like it.

It’s random and I don’t like it. I would not think they were religious at all.
I knew a Black African woman whose grandparents had chosen the name Blandina for her. In the family she was always called Sondo, which in one of the languages she is fluent in, means Sunday: this, because she was born on a Sunday. Those are my only associations and are nothing to do with religion of any kind.
Don't like it, and wouldn't think they were religious
It doesn't feel quite as namey as Sunny or Sonnet or Holiday would to me but reminds me of those vibewise.
I think Sunedai would be more fun but admittedly more complicated to spell.
My associations...
1. Vanilla ice cream. Banana splits. Yellow. Mildness, sweetness.
2. Wednesday Addams (I assume inspired by "Wednesday's child is full of woe" so then, in the same rhyme is "the child born on the sabbath day is bonny and blithe, and good and gay" or some variation of that, plus there's this line from another song (I was born on a Wednesday / I don't know about you / I always wanted to meet Sunday's child / And tell her what to do)...I was born on Sunday.
3. My profound confusion in kindergarten about being told Sunday was the 1st day of the week even though Monday was clearly the start of the school/work week (isn't the "day of rest" supposed to come last?? I didn't know technically that's Saturday).
4. "Gloomy Sunday" (dreariness in song form)
5. The sun! Celebration of...
6. Significant Sundays: Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday...
#5 is the one I'd want, but it takes too long for me to get there for it to be easily likable. I have a soft spot for time/holiday names because my middle name is a holiday/season, so I *could* learn to like it, but I don't without effort.
I do not initially ascribe religious motivations like I might for Dominga or Sabbat or Shabbatai (I do like Dominga and also Nedelya). If she had siblings like Heaven and Bishop, I would.

It's okay, but I think I'd find it annoying, at least until I found her likeable.
I wouldn't assume the parents were religious, at all. I'd probably assume they were not.
