His name is Leodis Andrellton “Leo”.

I like it. It's unusual but all the elements are familiar. It has a similar vibe as his dad's name, Darius, like a ruler of ancient times.
A lot of old fashioned names like Cornelius, Cassius and Reginald do seem more prevelant amongst African Americans. I appreciate that Keke seems to have put more thought into her kids name than "I like Apples."

Kind of funny that she makes a big deal of Leodis being such a historically Black name, and it's from Celtic language.
It sounds very dated and actually white-redneck to me. Like Lee Otis slurred together. I'd expect someone to use that in a joking manner the way Matt Groening used Cletus as the name for "the slackjawed yokel" on the Simpsons.
And of course he'll go by Leo, only one of the most mainstream and trendy names out there.

Obviously she means historically in the US. Just looking up Leodis on Google I see predominately black faces.

I love Keke Palmer and I love this name! Also, what a great intro -- "Born during Black History Month, with a name to match!" Both Leotis and Andrellton are bright, imaginative, and stylish.
I wonder if Andrellton is a namesake. The only person I can find with the name is a baseball player from Curaçao. (Side note -- the names of baseball players from Curaçao are a gold mine of creative one-offs.)

It's pretty neat. Personable but not flimsy seeming. If I saw it written IRL, randomly, I might wonder where it came from.
Leodis sounds like a Leo and Otis smoosh, and those are both jazzy. Leo is kinda boring but not unpleasantly so.
Andrellton is something...it seems like it'd be a surname, but isn't one I've seen. The Andrell part reminds me of unusual names like Katrell, Odell or Cendrillon, Endellion, but the *ton part seems on-trend. I noticed there's a whole cluster of them when I was looking at the chart today - Easton, Weston, Kingston, Princeton, Preston, Braxton, Daxton, Maxton, Jaxton, Paxton, Peyton, Dalton, Brixton, Keaton, Remington, Clayton, Leighton. Or it looks like it could be an Andre + Elton smoosh that might have been made into a surname at some point.
