[Opinions] Celebrity B.A
Actress Kaley Cuoco and actor Tom Pelphery (who I never heard of before) welcomed their first child last week. A little girl named Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphery. Normally I don't follow any celebrity births (or celebrity news in general) but I found this one QUITE refreshing, even with the 'M's clashing a bit. I don't particularly care for the middle names (Richie for a girl as well) but definitely better than the absolutely bizarre and impractical names celebrities usually give their kids.
WDYT of Matilda? Also sorry if this has already been posted about. I just came across the info today.

To answer a question below -- yes, the middle names of this baby honor her grandfathers. Kaley Cuoco's father's middle name is Carmine, and Tom Pelphrey's father's first name is Richard.

Matilda is okay. I personally think it sounds too dated but I’ve seen it enough to where it doesn’t surprise me.
Carmine doesn’t really go with it. Matilda sounds too English, while Carmine sounds too Italian.
Richie is weird. Should’ve just stuck with Carmine. I can’t think of any alternatives besides Rose. I take it this was to honor someone, that’s the vibes it’s giving me.
Matilda C.R. Pelphery is a pretty distinguished looking name though. It’s not stuck up or cold like Constance or something but it’s still unique while being mature.

Matilda is cute. It sounds both young and old-fashioned at the same time and has a fun storybook feel.
I don't care for the sounds of Richie Pelphery together (too much ee), but it isn't awful and, as others have said, Richie is probably honoring.

I don't know who they are.Are the MNs honoring? It seems like they would be, just because otherwise they seem so random, plus I know some people don't believe in altering honoring names even to change gender.I don't think the Ms clash.I like Matilda. I don't think I'd call it refreshing, but it seems more funky than Madison or Mary in a respectable way.

They might be but who knows. Kaley is probably more well known out of the two; known for playing Penny in the hit sitcom, The Big Bang Theory which ran for 12 seasons.

I like Matilda a lot. It's jaunty and energetic.

Matilda, refreshing? Hardly. It is celebrity-trendy yet at the same time it reeks of mothballs.

Matilda Pelphery does sound right out of a Dahl story, very whimsical. I assume Richie is a family surname but don't actually care enough to look it up. Carmine is an interesting pick. A cute name!

Oh wow, I didn't even think of that. It honestly does. 😅

Carmine's very Italian ...And very masculine. At least to me it is. Almost cliched Italian-mobster name, though not quite as much as Vinnie.

I like Matilda, I'd prefer Carmen though to Carmine, don't like Richie but Richelle would have been better

Matilda is great, but Carmine and Richie for a girl? Wth? Carmine is full on masculine, Carmen at least can go either way.
