[Opinions] Bricklyn
There was a little girl at my little sisters' softball game tonight named Bricklyn so I've been dealing with that. Yikes

I'm so sorry to have to do that to you.
It's still bothering me days later too.

Very good. Have 't done a spit take for a while. Gotta wipe down my screen now.

The parents must hate the kid enough to saddle her with such an unfortunate name.

Poor girl. At least use Brooklyn.

Oh geez. Why? Couldn't they just do Brooklyn like normal people? Now she doesn't even have Brooke to fall back on. I suppose she could go by Lyn or Ricki.

Abysmal.

My first guess if running across this name was that she was named after a father, grandfather or other male relative called Brick. Though this is usually a nickname, it is famously the name of a main character in the Tennessee Williams play "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", played by Paul Newman in the famous 1958 film version.

Why do people use common names and spell them uniquely instead of using actually uncommon names? Unless it's somehow honoring, or something. At least it can be shortened to Lyn though!

The “brick” part is really unattractive.
