How do you feel about the name Camilla for a girl? I like it pronounced “Cuh-mill-uh” instead of “Cuh-mee-luh” (which is how I’d say the name Camila); this is one of my favorite girl names at the moment. I really like the nicknames Cammy, Cam, and Millie, too.

I think it’s gorgeous and elegant, I know a wonderful little girl with this name. I like the nickname Milla.

...it reminds me of Camilla, Georgia.
Beyond that, it seems like a fairly popular classic name, and (other than Camila) it puts me in mind of names like Lucilla, Claudia, Amelia, Camellia. It's not a fav but seems a nice name, contemporary and sophisticated.
I don't like the NNs really.

I would like it a lot more if it wasn’t already associated with Parker Bowles. A name loses appeal to me when it’s heavily attached to a very public figure.
Objectively I think it’s very pretty and spunky and I like all the nicknames you mentioned, and I would also add Milla, as that’s how I pronounce the last syllables as well. Milla is less cutesy than Millie and ages well.

I like Camilla: a princess who ran so fast that the wheat didn't bend as she whizzed past! It would be interesting to watch it on the UK charts: for the Princess Diana fans, Camilla was anathema, but clearly being married to her has improved King Charles's quality of life. He's never been overly popular himself, so perhaps that doesn't matter. It would be interesting if it's risen in popularity there. I've never met or heard of a Camilla in South Africa.

Camilla is stuffy but it's got a lot of dignity and is sort of quietly heroic. I had a friend Camilla in high school and the name was strange to see then but she wore it well. I do not like Cammy (she also hated it) or Cam too well. Cammy seems like a name for an animal, to me. Milla seems like a more natural nickname and less cutesy than Millie.

I love this name. I don't know why or how it works, but whenever I want to make a food taste better, I just say/think "Camilla" before I eat it, and it makes that food taste SO good! It ALWAYS works, somehow!
