The two British princesses named Amelia (daughters of George II and George III, respectively) were both called Emily by their families.

In Poland we shorten it to Amelka

Ame (AH-meh in my language) would be intuitive to me! Other ideas:Amy (English pronunciation)

May / Mae / Mei
Lola

Lily / Lilly / Lili / Lilli
Molly (Amelia "Molly" makes more sense than Mary "Molly" IMO...)

Maisie
Melia
Lina (Amelia -> Amelina -> Lina)
Lia (like "Leah" in English)
Mimi / Mimy
Meli
Mimmy / Mimmi /
Yaya

Only one that comes to mind that you didn't mention is Mia. But really, it semes to me if you want a nn that's not one of the obvious ones, you should just use that nn by itself or with another full name that is less obscure.

In Indonesia, it seems that every Amelias I've encountered are called Amel, pronounced AH-mehl (or in IPA /ˈa.mɛl/).Another nickname options that I can get off my mind are Ames, Azza, Melly, and Ellie.(Edit: I don't think that this post and clevelandkentevans' post about Amelia on the Name Facts board are just a coincidence...)
