I was born in the US in 1990, so I grew up with countless Nicoles. I don't care for it.
Coincidentally, I'm reading Martin Amis's London Fields, which features a fascinating femme fatale named Nicola, so that name has been lodged in my mind. I love its galloping charm. I know it's dated in the UK (like Nicole in the US), but I'm quite taken with it.
