Help[Opinions] How did SpongeBob SquarePants get his name?
Ok so I know that they changed SpongeBoy to SpongeBob because their is a mop called SpongeBoy and that SquarePants is because his pants are square but how did they come up with the “Bob” part in the name SpongeBob

My guess it is just one letter off from Spongeboy.

I imagine it's because Bob is only one letter away from Boy, it was probably just that.
