Does
Mallory or Malory work as a first name for a boy? Better as a middle name?
Mallory itself seems dated as a feminine name, but I think Mal is still a popular nickname for boys and it would be fun to be named after Sir
Thomas Malory. Still not something I'd use myself, but what do you think?
It seems like it should be unisex since it's a surname but it's only listed as feminine and only charted in the US, one big spike in the 80's and then a slow decline from there. I'm surprised it never became popular as a male first name.
(Maybe it's because nobody wants to be called 'unfortunate', but other names have gotten popular with bad meanings.)
