Masterchef-The Professionals 2023 has recently finished in the UK. One of the female contestants was called Kasae. WDYT?

I thought it was Japanese at first. If it was, it would've been much prettier.
I don't like the look or sound. The spelling Casae would look better.

It just looks and sounds unconvincing. As if her parents had wanted to honour Erica, Kenneth, Angela, Arthur and Susan, and scrambled their initials.

How was it pronounced?

It’s a bit of a nothing name. Reminds me of cassette. I don’t like it.
