I adore Evangeline! It’s my childhood best friends name and I was always jealous of it lol. Her nn was Vangi and I know some people dislike it, maybe there’s an association, but I think it’s cute, although if I were to name my own daughter this I would use the nn Angel or Eve/Evie. I don’t think the name ‘too religious’. It’s gorgeous and elegant and sort of tragic heroine via the Longfellow poem. I also like Eva but not as much.

I’m curious how you pronounce the ending? My friend pronounces it like Lin so that’s how I’m used to saying it but I also like it Leen.
