[Opinions] Re: Sadie
I used to hate Sadie because it seemed childish and trendy. But thanks to a fictional character, Sadie has more backbone to it and I can appreciate its wild west sort of pioneer spirit. But it still feels dated-trendy and I'm not so into that. Sally always felt bland to me. It has an iconic blandness, though, like the Susie, Timmy, or Jimmy used by advertisers as a generic name for a little kid. Which is actually kind of interesting?? I have to admit, it would be something to meet a kid named Sally. "Sal" is super fun, actually. Yeah, I love that.Sallie is kinda neat. I'm not sure if I prefer it! It would absolutely never be spelled right. Sallie on a character might be ok. Sarah is lovely but so boring and overdone. I think Sally would be more fun to encounter, so I'd use that one. It's the one that feels a bit more interesting nowadays. Sally has more potential to be weirdly artistic than polite girl next door Sadie.
