The year is 1974. Giuseppe and Elżbieta are both so excited to have so many grandkids now, especially Elżbieta, who has retired from nursing and loves babysitting them during the day. Giuseppe is still working as a plumber, but he does have plans to retire in the next couple of years. Percy and Patsy are still happily settled in Eugene, but Theodore and Beatrice decided to stay local. Unfortunately, Charity's relationship with Rory was not meant to be, as her family had predicted. He put very little effort into their marriage, and he would get angry more and more easily as the years went on. So, after five years of marriage, Charity decided to divorce. And, one year after her divorce, Charity met her future husband through his daughter after their kids ended up in the same class in school. Aleksandra has now graduated and met her husband while in dental school. The two of them are both dentists now.
