The only twins I know are my cousins. They're fraternal twins, yet look extremely alike. They're called Timea and Brigitta. I have to say I hate both names :-( They go by Timi and Brigi or Gitta.
As for ideal twin sets, I like it when names are related, though not in a dead obvious way. I mean, like Salome and Jemima - one is "peace" the other "dove", the symbol of peace.
Some others:
Eloise and Helena
Helena and Aurora (I don't know why, though)
Felix and Oscar (too Neil Simon, maybe)
Rupert and Felix (just because I love both names)
Ophelia and Scarlett
Tristan and Isabel (I think because Isabel reminds me of Isolde, and my ears like the sound together)
