[Opinions] Re: What names make the best twin name pairings?
I prefer twin names that aren't an alliteration set (although some of them can certainly work) and names that don't usually rhyme. My late mother was a twin, my direct aunt, and their names, I kid you not, were Molly & Polly. (Polly was my mother)
I'm accustomed to seeing the names together as I grew up with them, so it's perhaps not so unusual for me, but it's also not something I can ever see myself doing if I were to ever have twins, which I doubt. I'd never give them extremely matchy names like Saige & Paige or Brady & Grady. Lol!There's a set of twins in a series that I wrote (a collection of 3 currently unpublished novels,) that I named Ava & Zoe and I absolutely love them! I love how well they go together, but aren't overly matchy. I love their 3 letters 2 syllable similarity. I'll post some others later on if they come to mind.🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷❇️🌷

Can't edit previous message (btn is having some weird glitch) but names for twins that I like and can't believe I didn't remember them sooner are:Lydia & Elowen
Cole & Dean

Yikes, rhyming ones are just cringey. I feel like they’d get confused for each other all the time.

Oh, believe me they had, and if that wasn't bad enough, they have/had 11 older siblings whose names all rhymed as well, yet my mother and her sister Molly were the only twins. Grandma surely was in a rhyming spree. 🥴

Let me get this right, there were 13 kids who all had names that rhyme with Molly and Polly?? Or did the other siblings have a different rhyming scheme?

Lol, no. A different rhyming scheme. The other names, and I do wish I wish I was joking, were Harry (jr) Larry, Barry, Gary, Terry, Perry, Sherry, Merry, Jerry, etc. you get the idea. A few of them went by unrelated nicknames, but yeah, still pretty weird. I can only imagine the amount of times my grandparents got their names mixed up. 😅
