I have a female character born in the late 60s/early 70s. The time period for the story is about 1990. Originally I was calling her Kim, but then another character happened who is called Kit/Kate (goes by both), and one of them had to be changed. I wasn't very sure already about Kim's name so I chose her. I tried Valerie "Val," but that doesn't feel right either.
She's a lonely ~20 year old undead (recently dead, only happened in the past few months) who moved across America to live with a childhood friend in said friend's small hometown. She and the friend are going to fall in love (they are lesbians). Dyes her hair black, likes rock music and reading. Very uncertain about her future (especially now that she's dead). Works in a bakery secretly linked to a cult.
I'm looking for common or not too out-there names, preferably one or two syllables, but I could *maybe* be persuaded for a three-syllable name. Her last name is Schuyler.
