I prefer the spelling with the e. I still don’t know how to pronounce it - is it eye-ah or ee-ah. I like Bethania or Bethany better.

My guess, based on Maria and Sophia, is that it started out pronounced bethEYEa and is now tending towards bethEEa.

I say Beth-ee-ah, I believe that’s the correct pronunciation.
