I like it. It's not trendy because it's cultural.

It’s got a very cool sound, but I don’t have ties to its culture of origin. I do like Tamsin for a girl.

Maybe because it sounds like a element on the periodic table? To me - at least. I could definitely see Tenzin being popular in this day in age, it has a cool meaning, a nice sound, and it’s not so horrible overall. I would maybe use Tenzin Caleb or Tenzin Oliver.

Why would Tenzin be trendy? I associate it with Tibet and don't know what ATLA is.It's very handsome.

I think it's very cool. It's probably not more popular because people just don't know about it, and it also sounds rather fantastical, like a name from a video game - which isn't everyone's cup of tea. Now, if it was given the cowboy treatment and turned into Tensynn or Tensen or something, we'd be in business.

I love it! I got introduced to it through ATLA. Turns out it's one of the most common names in Tibetan culture. And the Dalai Lama's name.I think it's not trendy in America because people aren't familiar with it and they don't really feel culturally comfortable using it. I have no idea what connotations naming my child "Tenzin" would connote to Tibetans or people who know more about Tibet than I do. I'd totally use it on like a pet though. I feel like it wouldn't be too sacrilegious because I never noticed an outcry about the ATLA character.

Probably because it sounds to foreign. It’s alright, too closely associated with the Dalai Lama.

But would people know that without checking and how many check? To me it has all the trendy sounds.

To me it sounds very Asian, I would’ve assumed it was Chinese if I didn’t know already. Don’t know about everyone else though.
