[Opinions] Kalliope OR Kelly
and why?

Kelly, if I absolutely had to. It's not bad, just kinda meh 🫤 It's better than Kalliope/Calliope which just sounds pretentious.
Kelly.
My daughter has a friend named Calliope and I've never been able to take the name seriously.

I feel the same about Kalliope, I think spelled with the letter K is particular unattractive.
LOL Kalliope, duh!
Holy cow - I had no idea that Calliope was jumping that high in popularity. It makes sense, though.
I'm going to keep this information under my hat, as my friend was very particular about choosing a unique name for her child.

This is one of the reasons I picked a name that consistently charted for the past 100 years, and mostly in the same place. My sister's name was super popular when she was born, dating her to the 1980s. My name was unheard of, but is now gaining popularity. (Haven & Jessica) I didn't want either of those things to happen to my daughter - I wanted her name to be common but not popular. That said I did want to name her Nora, one of the most popular names the year she was born. I'm glad my husband made me stick to our original choice - Miriam.
Kelly. Because it’s a lovely and lively name.
Kalliope because I think it's gorgeous and underrated!! I also prefer long names, and I LOVE Greek names! Kelly is a great name too, though!
