[Opinions] Re: Izel?
For those who hear "easel", what do you think of Giselle, like "Gizel" but I don't like that spelling, which has a similar sound to Izel?

Giselle doesn't sound like "easel" to me because of the G + the "ih" sound rather than "ee". I adore the name Giselle!
The I in Giselle is a schwa in my accent, so Azel or Azelle would seem more similar, but if I were going to say Giselle in an affected French accent, the consonant would make it distinct from easel. It's like when I say weasel, I don't think of easels, but if someone said wee-ZEL, I'd probably associate weasels. (I don't mind that Izel / Yzel reminds me of easels, though. Izel's obviously a name, and I have nothing against easels.)Giselle is ok.
