[Opinions] New twins
A couple at church recently had twins, Embry Jack & Ellie Kate. Embry & Ellie join brother Hayes Evan. I'm personally not a big fan of any of these names and Embry is really the only one I truly dislike. WDYT?

Eh, Kate is the only one I semi-like.

Frankly, all the names are nms, except for Jack and Kate.

I don't care for the similar sounding twin names, but also Ellie is a nn to me, not a formal name. And Embry is too much of a surname, and also makes me think of "embryo". Hopefully he isn't a small man once he grows up, and hopefully his ln doesn't start with an O. :-/

Ellie Kate is a harmlessly pretty, if trendy and lightweight, combo. Jack is too popular but also harmless. I like Evan. Embry sounds like a mispronunciation, and Hayes is nmsaa.

I really dislike what I perceive to be nicknames as given names. I particulary dislike these two because I think Elizabeth Katherine could be a classic name with the sweet nn of Ellie Kate, but perhaps I'm biased!
Embry Jack is alright, but I don't like Embry all that much. Hayes is just yucky to my ears. Evan is nice, but I wouldn't use Jack and Evan in the same family since they are both derivatives of Jack.
A related but perhaps unnecessary rant: Kate is just really abrupt sounding to my ears as a given name. Even as a nn for Katherine/Kathryn etc, I prefer Katie. Perhaps its because it's one syllable and ends with a hard 't' sound. I don't like Pete all that well either, but do like Peter and Petey! Not sure why! ----Betsy-----

Ellie Kate is alright if a little brisk.
I like Jack and Evan a lot.
Hayes sounds really stuck up to me, and reminds me of the food for horses.
Embry doesn't have a bad sound, but it reminds me of "embryo".Love is the lord of the house within him and rules all the concerns of his soul- Plato

Embry, I like, but it strikes me as very feminine--perhaps because I associate it with Emby Quinn, a pixel doll maker and general internet personality.Ellie Kate strikes me as Brit-chic and twee, and Hayes is Haze dressed up in the guise of a surname. ;) Evan's nice enough.Array
